Speciation must be ordered in conjunction with Test 325 – Lyme IB IgM. The ImmunoBlot IgM is for early disease, and can be positive as early as two weeks after exposure. IgM antibodies can remain positive for a very long time in some patients. The speciation option can tell if you are positive for a US or European strain.
